WIS42 bridge over Silver Creek CLOSED next week in Manitowoc County
Bridge approach maintenance June 12 to June 16
(Manitowoc) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces a full closure of WIS 42 at the Silver Creek Bridge just south of US 151 in the city of Manitowoc, Manitowoc County, for maintenance on the bridge approaches. Crews will be paving the approaches beginning Monday, June 12 through Friday, June 16. The maintenance work is to minimalize uneven pavement and reduce vehicle vibrations from the current approach profile.
Traffic impacts
The WIS 42 bridge over Silver Creek will be CLOSED and DETOURED from 7 a.m., Monday, June 12 to 5 p.m., Friday, June 16. This is a hard closure of the bridge. Vehicles are restricted from crossing.
- Detour: Northbound traffic will be directed to use County C to I-43 to US 151 to rejoin southbound WIS 42.
- Detour: Southbound traffic will be directed to use US 151 to I-43 to County C to rejoin northbound WIS 42.
This maintenance work will take between three and five days depending on weather. Maintenance schedules and traffic impacts are updated during the week on the Northeast Region highway maintenance traffic impact website at https://projects.511wi.gov/
