Winter Maintenance Policy

Manitowoc County residents and businesses may drop off their natural holiday trees at the basswood compost site from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 8:00 am until noon. FREE Christmas Lights Recycling

The Manitowoc County Recycling Center is excepting unwanted Christmas lights for free. All string lights will be excepted, as well as extension cords. Normal bulbs, including spotlights, compact fluorescent, fluorescent tubes, and incandescent bulbs can be recycled but normal fees apply. Learn More

Dog Licenses
