Burning Ordinance Requirement:
The Town of Newton has a strict burning ordinance. Violations of this ordinance can and will result in a fine. If found in violation, the first offense is a written warning; the next offense is a $50.00 fine plus court fees; and the third offense within on e year is a $100.00 fine plus court fees. Copies of the Ordinance are available at the Recycling Center and the Newton Town Shop.
